The "voyage" begins at 7pm with a reception of chips and canapes. Move around the deck with a glass in hand and get to know your fellow voyagers - trust us, wine is more fun with friends! At 7.15pm, shortly after "setting sail", our invited guest wine specialist Ms Akimi Yeo will deliver a short presentation on the wines of the evening, as well as interesting facts and trivia about the regions from which they hail. Continue to mingle around and sip on the day's wines, or chat up our team of wine specialists and aficionados present, who will be more than glad to share with you their passion and insights on the wonderful world of wine.

THE NEXT VOYAGE: CALIFORNIA (7 July 2016)

The voyage begins on a bubbly note on the other side of the Pacific, as we pass through the Golden Gate Bridge sipping on one of America's most popular sparkling wines. Ever since founder Isaac Cook created the first bottle of what they term 'American Champagne' back in 1859, Cook's have been living up to the tradition of producing Champagne-quality wines, but with a distinct Californian difference.

Thereafter, sail around to the North Coast of California, and upstream along the Russian River that passes through the famous Sonoma County wine region. The largest wine producer of Northern California, Sonoma is home to 17 American Viticultural Areas (or AVA's) including the Russian River Valley and the Alexander Valley which each boast 15,000 acres under vines.

One significant producer with plantings in both Russian River and Alexander Valleys is Simi Winery, which has been making quality wines since 1876 when Italian brothers Giuseppe and Pietro Simi released their first wines under the Simi name.

As the voyage progresses, get a taste of larger California as we sample two wines from Blackstone Winery, including what they claim to be 'America's Favourite Merlot'. Blackstone's winemaking team painstakingly selects grapes from over 100 vineyards throughout California every year to make consistent, complex, and balanced wines for every occasion.
